Rev. Lambert Jerome Schommer, New Jersey, officiated at the Solemn Nuptial High Mass which united his sister, Judith Kathleen Schommer, Marshfield and Ronald Alfred Meyer in marriage Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield. Father D. Dillenberg of Our Lady of Peace acted as deacon and Father N. E. King was the sub deacon. The children’s choir sang.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Schommer, Sr., Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyer, Lotal

The bride was given in marriage by her father for the double ring ceremony for which she chose a gown of embroidered Peau de sole extending into a brush train. It was styled with long sleeves and a scalloped neckline and her veil was of sheer illusion. A white orchid surrounded by white pompoms formed her bouquet.

Maid of honor for her sister was Bonnie Schommer of Marshfield and bridal aides were Mrs, Lorene Sweet of Milwaukee and Jo Anne Jicinsky of Stratford. They wore frocks of beige chiffon with brown embroidery and cummerbunds and held brown and gold pompoms.

The bridegroom’s brothers, Richard Meyer of Loyal, served as best man and Fred Meyer of River Falls and Larry Meyer of Loyal were groomsmen. Ushering was done by L. J. Schommer, Jr. of Waukegan, Illinois and Allen Meyer, Loyal. They are brothers of the bride and groom.

The flower girl was a neice of the bride, Frances Ann Schommer, Marshfield and Bobby Meyer was ringbearer.

The couple greeted their relatives and friends at a reception and dinner at the parish hall. A dance was held at Fahey’s Hall in Rozellville.

Mrs. Meyer is a graduate of Columbus High School, Marshfield and her husband was graduated from Loyal High School. She is employed by the Marshfield News Herald and he is employed by Seeman Gas Company of Loyal. After a short honeymoon, the couple will make their home at 312A W. Arnold St., Marshfield.
