Exchanging matrimonial vows Jan. 19th, 1963 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Thorp were Miss Ramona Skaleski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Skaleski, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. Louis J. Schiffner, son of Mrs. Anna Schiffner, Berwyn, Ill.

Rev. Robert Olson officiated at the 2:00 o’clock ceremony. Escorted to the altar by her father, Miss Skaleski was wearing a white brocade ballerina gown. It’s scoop neckline and 3/4 length sleeves was edged with seed pearls. Her silk illusion veil was held by a satin bow trimmed with a satin rose. White mums centered with a white orchid comprised her bouquet.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Skaleski of Chicago, Ill. attended the couple as best man and matron of honor. Mrs. Skaleski was attired in an emerald green brocade dress. Her accessories included a matching crown trimmed with seed pearls and a white fur muff sparked with holly.

A reception following the ceremony was held at the Thorp Finance Dining room and a dinner for approximately 45 guests was served at 4 o’clock.

After a week’s honeymoon the newlyweds will be residing at 1520 S. Oak Park Ave., Berwyn, Ill., where the groom is employed by the Jewel Tea Co. Prior to her marriage the bride was employed by the Thorp Finance Corp., Thorp, Wis.

Out of town relatives attending were from Berwyn, Chicago, Des Plaines, Elmwood Park and Niles, Ill., Rochester, Minn., Chippewa Falls and Longwood, Wis.
