Beryl J. Hoops, 81, Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 10; 2012, at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. A memorial service was held 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Rev. David DePaoli officiated.

Beryl Hayden was born on April 2, 1931, in the town of Sherry, the daughter of Wesley and Ida (nee Deering) Hayden. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1952. On June 14, 1952, she married Verlyn Hoops at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm until 1973. She also worked at Marshfield Book and Stationary. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, where she served as a member of the Ladies Aid. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bird watching and gardening. Those who knew her best will miss her warm spirit and love of mixed peanuts.

Beryl is lovingly survived by her children, Sharon (Verlyn) Randt and Sandra (James) Fruin; her grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Coke, Kimberlky (Kendal) Schmidt, and Stacy (Ryan Brecke) Randt; a sister; Beverly Smith; a brother, Noel Hayden; and many other family and friends. She will truly be missed.

Preceding her death were her husband, Verlyn; her parents, Wesley and Ida Hayden; and a sister, Naomi Odden.
