Larson, Perry Oliver (12 April 1907 - 18 April 1967)

Perry Oliver Larson, 60, of rural Curtiss and formerly of the Town of Weston, died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. E. G. Burtness of Calvary Lutheran Church will officiate, and burial will be made in the Columbia Cemetery.

Mr. Larson was born April 12, 1907, in Osseo. He attended schools there and in Clark County. On October 23, 1935, he was married to the former Lorena Wagner in Neillsville.

They farmed in the Town of Weston and Mr. Larson was also employed by the late Ross Paulson. The family moved to Curtiss in 1948 where he was employed by Foremost Company. For the last 10 years he worked for a valve company in Owen.*

He is survived by his wife; nine children, Kenneth of Marshfield, Chester of Canyon, Minn., Mrs. Robert (Leola) Anderson of Abbotsford, Lawrence of Alexandria, VA., Arlin of Ft. Benning, Ga., Arla of Marshfield, and Steven, Kerry and Debra, all at home. Other survivors include two brothers, Ben and Ernest Larson of Genoa City; and four grandchildren.

(*The family lived in the Town of Pine Valley back in the latter 1940’s as the older children attended Silver Crest School on W King Road and Sydney Avenue, where I attended school. DMK)

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Perry O. Larson, 60, of Withee, (other obit states Curtiss), who died April 18. The Rev. E. G. Burtness of Calvary Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in the Columbia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: William G. Kangas, Donald C. Little, Brooks Karl, Melvin Gosse, Jerry E. Burris, and Donald Hawks. Mrs. Harold Mayer, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Meihak, sang, “Rock of Ages” and “I’m but a stranger here.”

People from out of town here for the services were; Mrs. Lorena Larson and three children of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Larson, Arla Larson and Elmer Fink of Marshfield; Chester Larson, Todd and Melody Larson of Marshfield; Lawrence Larson of Alexandria, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larson and Mike Larson of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Larson and daughter, Mrs. Jean Larson, Peg and Vicki of Spring Grove, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Larson, Diane Larson, Mr. and Mrs. D. Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Larson, Mrs. Virginia Larson, Mrs. Arlene and Cliff Larson, all of Genoa City.; Arlin Larson of Ft. Benning, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. Russell T. Larson of Round Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Mike Anderson of St. Paul, Minn.

You had crossed this next one out and I am not sure why; unless because you miss a small portion and I picked it up from the obit already on the website that is from the Greenwood paper.
