Yankee, James (suicide - 4 DEC 1914)

Last Friday morning James Yankee committed suicide at his farm a mile southwest of Lynn. He was an old gentleman, being 75 years of age, and seemingly happy and contented, and there is no apparent cause for his rash act. He had taken his old musket out with him in the morning when he started to do chores and when he arrived at the barn had shot himself through the head. He was found later by relatives. Deceased is survived by four brothers, his wife having died several years ago.
