Severson, Elmer John (24 August 1906 - 16 January 1967)

Elmer John Severson, 60, of Willard, died early Monday morning in Neillsville following a long illness. He had been admitted to the hospital Sunday evening. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. David Logue of Immanuel-Zion United Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Severson was born August 24, 1906, to John and Edith (Larson) Severson in Greenwood. He lived his entire lifetime in the Greenwood and Willard area.

Survivors include his wife, the former Eva Zallar; four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Edith) Backus and Mrs. William (Eloda) Vollrath, both of Willard, Mrs. Gayle (Yvonne) Tieman of Milwaukee and Mrs. Harvey (Virjean) Pehlke of Neillsville; two sons, John of Kansas City, Kans., and Carl of Denver, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Tony (Lilly) Passerelle of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Heinzen of Marshfield; and two brothers Vern of Greenwood and Floyd of Prescott.
