Miss Jana Marie Timmler became the bride of Lawrence E. Shortess during a ceremony held in the Loyal Methodist Church Saturday. Parents of the two are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Timmler of Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shortess route 2, Spencer.
The Rev. Paul Doering performed the 1:30 ceremony. Miss Nelda Foelske sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”
The bride was married in a gown of silk organza with Lace insets and a neckline outlined with sequins and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Miss Geraldine Gray of Loyal was maid of honor. Miss Lou Ann Doehr of Spencer was bridesmaid and Miss Edith Timmler was her sister’s junior bridesmaid. They wore dresses of white silk organza over taffeta with scattered blue flowers and carried bouquets of blue and white carnations.
Sherry Kapfer of Rockford, Ill., a cousin of the bride and Terry Schaab of Kewaskum, cousin og the bride were flower girl and ring bearer.
Dale Timmler, West Bend, brother of the bride was best man and Edward Wolff of Neenah, a cousin of the groom was groomsman. Richard Shortess, Racine, a brother of the groom and Irving Timmler, Greenwood, a cousin of the bride did the ushering.
The bride’s mother wore a green and white tunic with rhinestone trim and the grooms mother had on a green and white sand crepe sheath dress.
A reception was held at the Edward Timmler home and supper was served at the Methodist Church Hall.
The bride and groom were graduated from Loyal and Spencer High Schools. He is employed at the Marshfield Lumber Supply.
After a honeymoon trip to Mackinac Island and Canada the couple will make their home in Marshfield.
