Lechner, Lorraine Dorothy (Marriage - 17 September 1966)

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Lorraine Dorothy Lechner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lechner of Rt. 1, Merrillan, and Phillip Warren Franklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire Hampton of Mundelein, Ill. The Rev. Fr. Hagmann performed the nuptial ceremony in which Ronald Lechner gave his sister in marriage. Nuptial music was played by Nancy Chapman.

Miss Lechner was attired in a white floor length gown styled with an A-line skirt with lace inserts, which also enhanced the long train attached to the back waistline. A fingertip silk illusion veil completed her bridal ensemble. She carried a bouquet of white carnations with white streamers.

Her matron of honor was Mrs. Rita Winkowski of Libertyville, Ill. Miss Mary Ann Lechner of Rt. 1 Merrillan was bridesmaid. The attendants wore full length royal blue satin gowns styled with a bow at the front waistline and one at the back neckline to which streamers were attached. Their bouquets were tinted blue and white carnations.

David Gunderson of Mundelein, Ill., was bestman. Victor Franklin of Indiana was groomsman.

The bride a 1965 graduate of the Black River Falls High School, and the groom, a 1963 graduate of the Mundelein High School, are both employed in Mundelein, residing in Libertyville, Ill.

Guests from away attending the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Warren Franklin and children of Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. Claire Hampton and children of Mundelein, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lechner of Hammond, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lechner of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lechner of lake Geneva; Mr. and Mrs. David Gunderson of Mundelein, Ill.; and Mrs. Phyllis Lechner of Alma Center.
