Harycki, Antonina (20 SEP 1871 - 25 MAY 1961)

A Requiem Mass was celebrated Monday, May 29, 10:00 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Church at the funeral of Mr. Antonina Harycki, 89, who died May 25, 1961, 12:45 p.m., after a lingering illness. Assisting Rev. Francis Disher as servers were Dr. Clarence Klasinski, Capt. Anthony Klasinski, Mr. Florian Klasinski, Mr. Edmund Klasinski, and Mel Bernard, grandsons and great-grandsons of the deceased.

Antonina Laniewski was born in Poland, Sept. 20, 1871. She married Paul Harycki June 10, 1897; the couple immigrated to the United States in 1900 and settled north of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Since the death of her husband in 1951, Mrs. Harycki has made her home in the city of Thorp. She has been a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Rosary Society of St. Hedwig’s Parish.

Surviving are a daughter, Bernice of Stevens Point; sons Stanley, John and Edward of Thorp; a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Laniewski of Chippewa Falls; nephews Basil of Thorp and Martin of Greenwood; and 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Her husband and two sons, Chester and Bernard, preceded her in death.

Burial took place in the St. Hedwig Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, William, Sylvester, and Vernon Harycki, Thorp; Edmund Harycki, Milwaukee; and Louis Klasinski and Frank Bernard, Stevens Point.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mrs. Bernice Klasinski and daughter Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klasinski and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernard and children, Mr. and Mrs. Florian Klasinski, and Mrs. Joseph Miller, Stevens point; Mr. John Laniewski and son, Chippewa Falls; Dr. Clarence Klasinski and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hadhazy, Posen, Ill.; Edmund Klasinski, Deerfield, Ill.; Capt. And Mrs. Anthony Klasinski and son, Forbes Air Force Base, Kansas, and Chicago; Mrs. Dick Young, Minneapolis; Mrs. Mike Briski, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Harycki and son, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Harycki, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Harycki, Green Bay; Mr. Stanley Perok and son, Gilman.
