Miss Jacqueline Ellen Hedler became the bride of Bruce C. Soli, HM3, on Wednesday, March 8, 1961 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, Wis.  Rev. Gabriel J. Meyer of St. Mary’s Parish, Marathon, Wis. performed the two p.m. ceremony.  Mrs. Leon Kaczmarek sang “Ave Maria” and “Mother at Thy Feet is kneeling,” accompanied by Al Ciolkosz.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hedler and Mrs. Conrad Soli, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory stain gown styled with princess lines and sweeping chapel train trimmed with Belgian lace at the waistline and on points of her long sleeves.  Her fingertip veil was held with a crown trimmed with sequins.  She carried a white purple throated orchid on a prayer book with stephanotis streamers.

Mrs. Phillip Miller of Milwaukee was her sister’s maid of honor.  She wore a street length dress of beige chiffon with green accessories.  Her colonial bouquet considered of cymbidium orchids with stephanotis.

Mr. Jerome Hedler of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, was the best man.  Ushers were Gerald Soli, cousin of the groom, and Joel T. Schmidt, cousin of the bride.

A reception for 75 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride’s mother, wearing a beige pure silk dress with green accessories and the groom’s mother wore a mink brown crepe dress with beige accessories.  Each wore a cymbidium orchid corsage.

The bride a graduate of Thorp High School, was employed as an IBM operator at the Briggs & Stratton Co. in Milwaukee.  The groom, a graduate of Thorp High School, is stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The bride wore a green linen sheath dress with beige accessories and white orchid corsage when they left on their trip to Camp Lejeune, N.C., where the couple will make their home.
