Steinberg, Johanna (5 JAN 1853 - 24 MAR 1917)

 

Mrs. F. Steinberg, who maiden name was Johanna Golz, was born in Brandenburg, Germany on Jan. 5th, 1853 and died on March 24, 1917 at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 19 days.  In November 1876 she was united in marriage to Friedrich Steinberg and 7 years later they came to America, settling down on their farm in Globe (Clark Co., Wis.), which has since been their home.  Eight children were born to them, who are as follows: Anna (Mrs. L. Quast) and Otto of here; Reinhold of Hopkins, Minn.; Emma (Mrs. Otto Schoeffler) of Custer, Mich.; Pauline (Mrs. Erich Schoenherr Jr.) of here; Therese (Mrs. Alvin Foster) of Colby and Albert, who is at home.  Besides her husband and eight children, she leaves 22 grandchildren, a brother, Hermon Golz of Enderlin, N.D., and two sisters in Germany.  The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, Rev. Parisius officiating.
