Garbush, Carol Helen (Marriage - 17 June 1966)

Miss Carol Helen Garbush of Rt. 2 Loyal, and Leslie John Hagen of Rt. 2 Neillsville, exchanged nuptial vows in a marriage ceremony Saturday afternoon in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated.  Bouquets of pink roses and white carnations adorned each side of the altar for the double ring ceremony.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Garbush and Mr. and Mrs. William Hagen.

The bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly type lace, designed with a scallop neckline.  The bouffant skirt featured a wide lace flounce at the hemline, with an overskirt of nylon sheer accented by lace roses and falling into a chapel train sweep.  Her finger tip veil was secured to a lace crown, edged with seed pearls and accented with aurora borealis crystals. She carried a crescent styled bouquet of pink roses, with white streamers attached.

Mrs. Darryl Dayton of Rt. 1, Neillsville was her matron of honor.  Miss Karen Hagen, sister of the groom, was her bridesmaid.  The attendants were attired in full length pink satin gowns, fashioned with bows in the back which led into long trains. They carried nosegays of pink roses and white carnations.

The Wedding day festivities included a reception and supper in St. John’s Lutheran School. And a shower and dance in the evening.

Mrs. Hagen is employed at Wedge’s Creek Research Farm, near Neillsville, and Mr. Hagen at the nelson Muffler Plant in Neillsville. They are residing in Christie.
