Luebke, Frederick (21 December 1890 - 11 June 1966)

 

Frederick Luebke, 75, of Rt. 2 Neillsville died Saturday in his car in Neillsville. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. The Norman W. Lindloff officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Frederick Luebke was born December 21, 1890 in Manitowoc.  His parents moved to Clark County when he was a small child.  He attended the Lutheran Parochial School in Neillsville and was confirmed in 1905.

 

He entered World War I in September, 1917 and served with AEF in France from December 10, 1917 to May 7, 1919, when he received his discharge.

 

Mr. Luebke had been a head sawyer in saw mills most of his lifetime.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held June 15, from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Frederick Luebke, 75. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Herbert Grottke, Walter Kozlowski, Walter Mahalock, William Buddinger, Hugo Trimberger and Elmer Adams.

 

"Abide O Dearest Jesus" and "Rock of Ages" were sung, by Mrs. Harold Mayer, accompanied by Victor Lehmann.

 

People from away attending the funeral were: Mrs. Mary White of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Trimberger and Mr. and Mrs. William Buddinger, Sr., and Jr., of Granton; and George Luebke of Milwaukee.
