Morvak, Virginia May (5 April 1923 - 23 April 2012)

 

Virginia May Morvak, 89, of Black River Falls died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Black River Memorial Hospital, while in the care of Black River Memorial Hospice and her family.

 

Virginia was born April 5, 1923, in the Town of Dewhurst, Clark County, to Roy and Mayme (Rouse) Iverson. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1940.  Following high school she moved to Milwaukee and worked for Allis-Chalmers for a number of years.

 

Virginia married Rudolph Morvak Nov. 3, 1943. Together they lived in the Milwaukee area until the mid 1990s when they moved to Black River Falls. Rudolph preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1997.

 

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Ellis) Stoll of Neillsville and Carol (Richard) Sakowski-Mathaus of Butler; one son Dennis Morvak of Madison ; four grandchildren, Mark (Lynne) Sakowski, Amy (Robert) Perlberg, Jennie (Mick) Wendland and Kelly Morvak; three great-grandchildren; Teig, Sammantha and Cole Perlberg. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Michael, Judy, Janet, Bob and Jim.

 

In addition to her husband, Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mayme; one sister Beulah Jaje; son-in-law Ralph Sakowski and grandson Roy Steven Morvak.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at Merrillan United Methodist Church with Rev. Meg Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery in the Town of Hewett, Clark County.

 

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church Friday.

 

Buswell Funeral home in Black River Falls is assisting the family.
