Wilson, Lloyd Paul (19 June 1933 - 11 April 2012)

Lloyd Wilson, 78, of Neillsville died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Lloyd Paul Wilson was born June 19, 1933, in Oak Park, IL, the son of Paul and Esther (Wagner) Wilson.  He graduated from Senn High School in Chicago, IL, and then studied pre-med at Wright’s Junior College in Chicago.  Lloyd then spent two years in medical school studying podiatry.  In the summer of 1957 Lloyd began working for the Deluxe Check Printing Co. in Chicago, IL.  He was united in marriage to Genevieve Petrulis March 30, 1963, in Oak Park, IL.  They both spent their careers working at Deluxe in factories in Chicago, New Berlin, and Miami, FL. After their retirement they moved to Port St. Lucie, FL, for five and one-half years.  They moved to their lake home in Rhinelander in 1999 and in 2008 they moved to Neillsville.

Lloyd enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially bowling, golf and football.  He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Bulls, Bears and Cubs fan.  He also enjoyed fishing and tending to his flower gardens. Lloyd was a great person to confide in, and he treated everyone like his family.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Gene; a daughter, Rose-Marie (John) Bartell of Neillsville; and two grandchildren, Jake (Fiancée Anika MacDonald) Bartell of Minnetonka, MN, and Becky (Fiancé Ryan Cody) Bartell of Neillsville.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.
