Pvt., Co. A, 4th Provisional Cavalry; served with the Union Army from Dec 1863 to Jan 1865, 1 yr., 11 mo., 12 da. His military documents noted that he suffered with chronic diarrhea. He lived in Greenwood at the time of the 1890 Special WI Veterans' Census.
