Hardrath, Bonnie L. (1935 - 1981)


Funeral services for Mrs. Lyle R. (Bonnie L.) Hardrath, 46, of Route 2, Marshfield, were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville.

Mrs. Hardrath died of cancer at 6:35 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, 1981, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been admitted on Dec. 1. She had been in ill health for the past year.
Officiating at the service was Rev. Myron J. Meiner, Mrs. Donald J. Larson provided musical selections.

Serving as pallbearers were her nephews. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwood. Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, handled arrangements.

A Corpus Christi Parish Rosary was conducted at 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home.

Bonnie L. Updyke was born in the Town of Barton, Washington County to Floyd and Laura (nee Schiller) Updyke on Aug. 25, 1935. She received her education at the North Lake Schools in Washington County and Greenwood Public Schools.

She moved to the Greenwood area with her parents at the age of 12. She moved to the Marshfield area in 1970, and was employed by Weyerhaeuser Co. in the Molded Products Division for 15 years, until her illness.

She was married to Lyle R. Hardrath in 1970 at Rockford, Ill. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Surviving her are her husband, Lyld four daughters, Laura Sloniker and Mrs. Dan (Cathy) Bauman, both of Marshfield Heidi Hardrath, Route 2, Marshfield and Peggy Sloniker, Medford three sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Betty) Degenhardt of Greenwood, Mrs. Herman (Gloria) Hoffman of Colby and Mrs. Duane (Judy) Branstiter of Rhinelander one brother, Floyd Updyke, Jr. of Marshfield her mother, Mrs. Laura Updyke of Greenwood and four grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were he father and one daughter, Theresa.
