BRYAN GLASS
 

Bryan R. Glass, 85, Neillsville, Clark County, died Wednesday, June 7, 1993, at Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 1993, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Mauritz, Leland Gregorich, Leon Gregorich, LaVerne Gregorich, Jr., Jimmy Backus, Tom O'Connor, and Steve Scharenbrock.


Bryan R. Glass was born on July 23, 1907, in Illinois, to John and Susan (nee Daugenbaugh) Glass. He married Marcella M. Scharenbrock on Feb. 28, 1942. She survives. After their marriage, they lived in the Willard area, where they farmed.

 

They moved to Granton in 1947 until 1961, where they also farmed. They then moved to Neillsville in the fall of 1961, where he was employed by the Clark County Highway Department until his retirement in 1973. After his retirement he worked as a bartender in area taverns. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.


Survivors included his wife one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Gaye) Rosekrans, Schofield one grandson, Jason Mauritz two brothers, Gayes Crotzer, Colorado Spring, Col. and Walter Backus, Willard.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, two half-brothers, and two sisters.
