Fischer, Beulah I. (1897 - 1981)


Mrs. Beulah I. Fischer, 83, of 314 State St., Neillsville, Clark County died late Tuesday, March 3, 1981, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.


Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 6, at United Methodist church, Neillsville, with Rev. William Noble officiating. Interment was in the Neillsville Cemetery.


An Order of Eastern Star service was at 7:30 p.m., March 5.


Beulah Harper was born to Ben and Lucy (nee Piper) Harper on Dec. 4, 1897, in Neillsville, and received her education in the Town of York.


She married Irvin Fischer on Nov. 15, 1916, at Greenwood.


They farmed in the Greenwood area many years and after retiring they lived in Hatfield for a year.


She moved to Neillsville after her husband's death in 1954.


She was a member of United Methodist Church, Carmi Chapter No. 60, Order of Eastern Star at Neillsville, was a 57 year member of the Royal neighbors of America and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.


Surviving her are one son, Robert Fischer of Nekoosa; one brother, Chester Harper of Aurora, Oregon; and one granddaughter.


Preceding her in death was one brother.


Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled arrangements.
