Dewey John Williams, 78, town of Reseburg, Clark County died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1993, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at Thorp Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Wilcker officiated. Burial was in Sylvan Cemetery.


Dewey John Williams was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Clark county, to Rollin and Bessie (nee Thompson) Williams. He was born and raised in the Town of Reseburg and attended area schools. He married Clara Fillipeck June 6, 1941, in Thorp. She survives. They lived and farmed in the Town of Reseburg for many years and he also worked for the Withee Feed Mill for 20 years.


Survivors include his wife four sons, Rollin (Kathy) Williams, Willard and Darrel Williams, Elkhorn one daughter, Shirley Williams Thorp one brother, Walter Williams, Colorado Springs, Col. four sisters, Della Williams and Mrs. Donald (Nettie) Berthold, both of Greenwood and Mrs. Delton (Grace) Bertlet and Esther Williams, both of Colorado Springs, Col. 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Alvin and Roy and three sisters, Eva, Mildred, and Emma.


Thorp Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
