ROBERT SEIF
 

Robert F. Seif, 80, Neillsville, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1993, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. Funeral services were to be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1993, at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville. Rev. Gene Lackore officiated. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery, Neillsville. Pallbearers were Frank Pekol, Harold Thoma, Ray Wededkind, Alvin Ziegler, Leo Henchen, and Lyman Heidemann.


Robert F. Seif was born Feb. 26, 1912 in the Town of Seif, Clark County, to John and Adella (nee Jacklin) Seif. He received his education in the Town of Seif. He married Erna Ziegler Sept. 15, 1934, in Neillsville. She preceded him in death in 1980. He farmed on the family farm that his grandparents homesteaded in 1870. He continued to farm there until 1973 when he semi-retired and moved to Neillsville. He worked for the City of Neillsville as a cemetery maintenance worked until 1981. The Town of Seif in Clark County was named after his grandparents, Fred and Mary Seif. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Neillsville.


Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Judy) Metzke, Greenwood and Mrs. Larry (Janice) Herron, Marshfield and two grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two great-grandchildren, one brother, and one sister.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
