Bryan, Gail D. (1948 - 2001)


Gail D. Bryan, 53, Neillsville, Clark County, died on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at the St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 12, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. Douglas Bjerke of the Assembly of God Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Dells Dam Cemetery, town of Levis. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Bryan, John Bryan, Brett Flick, Gary Guetschow, Stack Larson, April Opelt, Rick Patterson, and Bryan Ferraro. Pallbearers will be Rod Bixby, Donald Bryan, David Denk, Jim Bryan, Jesse Ferraro, Brian Flick, Curt Patterson, and Ronald Yankee.


Gail Diane Giloy was born on Jan. 11, 1948, in Marshfield, to Robert Edward and Grace Jewel (nee Flood) Giloy. When she was 18 months old, her father died, and her mother cared for her and her sisters. They moved to Neillsville when when was 3 years old, and she attended the Neillsville Public Schools. She married Dean A. Bryan on Sept. 5, 1964, in the Assembly of God Church, Neillsville. A year later, they moved to Happy Camp, Calif. In 1966, they moved back to Neillsville and resided on Court Street for a few years. Later, they moved to a trailer home in the town of Levis, and eventually, they moved to a new home in the town of Levis. She enjoyed her family and was very active in their lives. For many years, she took care of her father-in-law, George Bryan. She enjoyed roller skating in her younger years and spent many years at the Thunderbird, Hatfield. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She made afghans for everyone in her family. She loved to read and watch her children s sporting events. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the Happy Time Trail Blazer snowmobile club.


Survivors include her husband, Dean Bran, Neillsville four daughters, Lisa Tilson, Neillsville, Lori (Rod) Bixby, Granton, Sara (David Denk) Bryan, Neillsville, and Beth Bryan, Neillsville one son, Dean W. (Lisa Bast) Bryan, Neillsville 10 grandchildren, Adam, Zachery, and Chelsea Tilson, Neillsville, Abigail, Arielle, Ashley, Alexandra, and Andrew Bixby, Granton, Meg Bryan, Neillsville, and Isaac Bryan Neillsville two sisters, Connie Patterson, Alma Center, and Judy Flick, Black River Falls three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ferraro, Rockford, Ill., Jeanie Yankee, Round Lake, Ill., and Vi Larson, Clinton special friends, Helen Miller, Cheryl Eddy, Margaret Eddy, Sharon Mohr, all of Neillsville, and Alina Limberg, Hatfield many other sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents an infant brother, Gary Robert Giloy and two brothers-in-law, Harvey Patterson and Harold Flick.


The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
