Schutte, Henry A. (1917 - 1991)

Henry A. Schutte, 73, Neillsville, died Saturday, April 6, 1991, at his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 9, 1991, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Rev. Richard F. Weber officiated and burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Art Christenson, David Marg, Robert Durst, Darryle Schutte, Bernard Sieg, and Bill Buettner. Honorary pallbearers were William Simek, Herman Hagedorn and Donald Kelso.

Henry A. Schutte was born Dec. 21,1917, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, to John and Dorothea (nee Boll) Schutte. He received his education at St. John's Lutheran School in Neillsville. After his education he worked on farms and farmed in southern Wis. for several years. He then moved back to Neillsville. He married Vivian A. Durst Sept. 28, 1940, in Neillsville. After his marriage, he worked for Kurt Marg for a few years. He also worked in Milwaukee for a few years. He then returned to Neillsville, where he worked for Nelson Muffler Corp., for 29 years. After his retirement he continued to live in Neillsville until the time of his death. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife two sons, Eugene Schutte, White Bear Lake, Minn. and Dennis Schutte, Marshfield two brothers, Alvin Schutte, Neillsville and Robert Schutte, Shawano and three grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
