Davis, Myrtie M. (1903 - 1990)


Myrtie M. Davis, 87, Granton, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, 1990, at 11 a.m. at York Center Methodist Church, Granton. Rev. Ron Stelzleni officiated and burial was in the York Center Methodist Church Cemetery, Granton. Grandsons served as pallbearers.


Myrtie M. Peaslee was born July 11, 1903, in Vernon County, to Thomas and Lepha A. (nee Mills) Peaslee. She came to the town of Grant with her parents in 1922. She married T. Eldred Davis July 25, 1923, in Granton.


She farmed in the Granton area from 1943 - 1956 and then moved to her current home in the town of York. She was a member of York Center Methodist Church, Granton.


Survivors include two sons, Warren Davis, Granton and Marvin Davis, Plato, Mo. four daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Patricia) Kitzhaber, Greenwood Mrs. Robert (Angeline) Schultz, Greenwood Mrs. William (Ila Maie) Wolf, Nekoosa and Shirley Davis, Granton two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Lezotte, Neillsville and Mrs. Norman (Lida) Kuhl, Hayward two brothers, Raymond Peaslee, Gillingham and Glen Peaslee, Florida 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents.


Gesche Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
