Abel, Albert Francis (1935 - 1955)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services will be held here Tuesday for Albert Abel, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Abel, Greenwood, who was killed in a car accident late Friday evening between Harvard and Capron, Ill. The youth, who was employed in Capron, died of a crushed chest when his car hit a bridge.


The Rev. Edward Hartung will officiate at final rites at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church here. The rites will precede an 8:30 a.m. service at the Abel home, where the body is now lying in state. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight.


The Hill Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Albert Francis Abel was born in Greenwood Feb. 8, 1935. He received his primary education at St. Mary's School here and was graduated from Greenwood High School in 1952. He had been employed in Capron since graduation.


Besides hi parents, he leaves three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Harry (Joan) Bujanouski, Milwaukee Harold of Capron, and Yvonne, Donna Mae, Lloyd and Frank, all at home.
