Hatton, Evan George (1897 - 1968)

 


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Evan George Hatton, 70, route 1, Greenwood, died following a lingering illness at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 1968 at the University Hospital in Madison, where he had been a patient for 10 days.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion United Church of Christ here with the Rev. David Logue officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home here from Sunday afternoon until 11 a.m. Monday, and then at the church. Masonic services will be conducted there at 8 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Hatton was born Dec. 13, 1897, at Janesville. His marriage to Laura Wendt took place April 21, 1927, at Winona, Minn.


After their marriage the couple lived and farmed southwest of Greenwood.


Mr. Hatton was a member of the Greenwood Lodge 249, F. and A.M. and the Greenwood Order of Eastern Star.


In addition to his wife, survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Betty) Lenz, Greenwood Clark Hatton, Greenwood and Russell Hatton ..(the rest of my copy was cut off)
