Krokson, Morris (1881 - 1957)


GREENWOOD--Final services will be held here Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Morris Krokson, 76, who died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1957, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient since Sept. 5.


The body, which now lies in repose at the Hill Funeral Home, will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ira J. Tanner will conduct the church rites, which will be followed by burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Krokson, who never married, had lived at Greenwood since he was 11 years old. He came here with his parents from Sweden, where he was born July 22, 1881. He obtained his education in schools there and in Greenwood. He farmed on a small scale and was employed in other types of work in the area.


He is survived by two brothers, Fred of St. Petersburg, Fla. And Oscar of Park Rapids, Minn. seven nieces and four nephews. A brother and sister died in Sweden. Members of the family whose deaths occurred later were a sister, Mrs. Clara Borseth, and four brothers, Martin, Axel, Ernest and Victor.
