Wisth, John (1876 1962)


GREENWOOD
--Services will be held at the Hill Funeral Home here at 2 p.m. Thursday for John Wisth, 86, former Greenwood, Clark County resident, who died in Milwaukee Sunday, Dec. 30, 1962, after being in ill health since suffering a stroke last spring.


The body will arrive here at noon Thursday and the service will be conducted by the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Wisth was born in Norway July 14, 1876, and had resided on a farm 5 miles northeast of here before moving to Milwaukee a number of years ago.


He is survived by his wife, the former Julia Ystad four sons, Hjalmer, Fred, Arthur and Thorvald, all of Milwaukee two daughters, Mrs. Borghild Detemple, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Hildor Koeling, Menomonee Falls 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.


Two sons preceded him in death.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Wisth (of Milwaukee, at time photo was taken).  Mrs. Wisth was sister of Odin and Hans Ystad, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jorgen Ystad.
