Windom, Hans Conrad (1885 - 1964)


GREENWOOD--Hans Conrad Windom, 79, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 7:25 P.M. Monday, Oct. 10, 1964 at the Clark County Hospital in Owen, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had suffered a stroke in May of this year.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Thursday, and then at the church.


Hans Conrad Windom was born March 8, 1885, in rural North Bend, Jackson County. The Windom family moved here from South Dakota 45 years ago. Mr. Windom, a retired farm laborer, had never married.


He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.


Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Ivan (Mary) Hemminger, Holcombe Misses Nelda and Helen Windom, Greenwood and four brothers, Theodore, Lendo, Elmer and Otto, Greenwood.


He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
