Heller, Henry (1880 - 1964)


GREENWOOD--Henry Heller, 84, a former Stratford resident, who had been residing in Greenwood, Clark County, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze, died at 9 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where he had been a patient for one day.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Elenezer United Church of Christ in Stratford. The Rev. George Schmid will officiate, and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
The body will repose at the Sauter Funeral Home in Stratford from Saturday evening until 11 a.m. Monday, and then at the church.


Henry Heller was born Aug. 13, 1880 at Antigo, and as a young boy came with his parents to Stratford. He worked here as foreman of the section crew on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad until his retirement 19 years ago.


His marriage to Louis Hosesly, who preceded him in death July 20, 1931, took place Nov. 23, 1904, at Stratford. On Sept 27, 1941, he married Mrs. Lena Ziegler, who preceded him in death March 30, 1951.


Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Schuster, and Mrs. Arnold (Marion) Spindler, Town of Cleveland Mrs. John (Irene) Galbrieth, Standish, Mich. Mrs. Mark (Hazel) Revene, Antigo Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Schwarze, Greenwood and Mrs. Calvin (Armella) Gordee, Marshfield four sons, Gilbert Heller, Bay City, Mich. Melvin Heller and William Heller, Tiskilwa, Ill. and Anton Heller, Livingston, N.Y. 41 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
