M. LEONE MAINS


M. Leone Mains, 86, Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1988 at 3:18 a.m. at her home in Greenwood. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kevin Field officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.


Serving as pallbearers were Mike, John and Dean Johnson, Dennis Carteron, Jerry Hinker and Mike Nolan.


M. Leone Nolan was born Jan. 26, 1901 in Norwalk, Wis., a daughter of Lee and Maime (nee McGray) Nolan. She received her education in normal school in La Crosse. On Oct. 20, 1933, she and Cleo Mains were married in Montana, moving to Greenwood in 1951. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1983.


She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.


She is survived by her husband on son, Ernest of Merrill two brothers, Eugene of Greenwood and Donovan of La Crosse and four grandchildren. One sister and her parents preceded her in death.


Rink Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
