RUTH TILDA SISCHO
 

Greenwood Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Ruth Tilda Sischo, 65, who died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at her home here Monday morning, Jan. 24, 1972.


The Rev. Leander A. Koopman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Hill Funeral Home beginning today and a general Rosary service will be held there at 7:30 p.m. today.


Ruth Sischo was born Sept. 25, 1906 in Christie, and received her education in Greenwood Schools and at the former Stevens Point Teachers College. She taught for 40 years in Clark, Jackson and Marathon Counties, with the last 10 years being in Wausau.


She retired in June 1971 and returned to Greenwood, where she had since resided.


Survivors include an adopted son, Harvey Sischo, Sheboygan two brothers, Merrill Sischo, Wausau and Leo Sischo, Neillsville, and four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Olive) Hare and Mrs. Altha Thomas, both of Greenwood Mrs. Orah Richardson, Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Marvin (Nina) Engel, Spencer.


She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur & Sidney and her parents, Arthur & Bessie.
