ABEL FUNERAL


Greenwood--Funeral services for Mrs. William Abel, 67, who died June 16, 1946 at her home west of Greenwood, Clark County, were held June 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Abel home and at 2 p.m. at West Side Reformed Church. The Rev. J.C. Klingeberger officiated and interment was made in West Side Cemetery.


During the service the senior choir sang several selections, accompanied by Mrs. Otto Fravert. Pallbearers were H. R. Baird, John Arnends, Matt Bombach, Ed Kippenhan, Otto Meinhardt, and Albert Miller. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Arno Miller, Mrs. Harry Liebzeit, Mrs. Pat Meinholdt, Mrs. Bombach, and Miss Bernice Schwarze.


Mrs. Abel, the former Meta Schwarze, was born in Greenwood, Jan. 20, 1879, and was married to William Abel June 28, 1899, at Greenwood. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Reformed Church and was confirmed April 2, 1893.


Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Edwin William Abel, Greenwood, and Theodore Paul Abel, Town of Beaver four brothers, William, Greenwood, and Edward, Alfred, and Arthur, Town of Warner one sister, Mrs. Clara Wohlfell, Watertown and six grandchildren. Two brothers, John and Paul, preceded her in death.
