MRS. EDWARD TRUNKEL


Mrs. Edward (Darlene) Trunkel, 48, of Pineview Trailer Court, Greenwood, Clark County, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital at 2:45 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1977, following a lingering illness since Dec. 1975.


Funeral services for Darlene Trunkel were conducted at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 8. Rev. David Wenger officiated and interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.


Darlene Severson was born to Ben and Helen Severson on July 18, 1929 at Greenwood and received her education at Greenwood High School.


She was married to Edward Trunkel at Greenwood on March 7, 1945. They farmed near Willard until 1971, when they moved into the City of Greenwood.


She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Church Women's group.


Surviving her are her husband, Edward her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Severson, Greenwood, two sons, Dennis of West Allis and DuWayne of Willard one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janice) Fischer of Charlotte, Mich. one brother, Bernard Severson of Spencer five sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Rosella) Dergance of Willard, Mrs. Edward (Irene) Bombach of Willard Mrs. Keith (Ruth) Stroud of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joe (Dorothy) Miller of Marshfield, and Mrs. John (Shirley) Blastkowski of Green Bay and five granddaughters.


John Snedic, Ernie Arch, John F. Trunkel, John T. Trunkel, Frank Lamovec and Jerry Lamovec served as pallbearers.


She was preceded in death by one brother.
