DIES ON MONDAY
HEART AILMENT FATAL TO WILLIAM BEECHER


Greenwood--William C. Beecher, 70, a resident of Greenwood, Clark County for 37 years, died of a heart ailment Monday afternoon, Sept. 12, 1949 at Neillsville.


Funeral services will be conducted at the Schiller Funeral Home here by the Rev. Lee Holmes, pastor of Grace Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. The body will repose at the funeral home until Wednesday morning.


William C. Beecher was born April 8, 1879 at Wauwatosa, the son of Frank and Mathilda Beecher.


In October 1902 he was married to Minnie Kocher at Milwaukee. The couple continued to reside in that city until 1912 when they moved to a farm near Greenwood. In 1927 they retired from the farm and moved to the city of Greenwood.


He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Dorothy) Schwarze, Greenwood, a granddaughter, and two sister and a brother, all of Milwaukee.


He was preceded in death by his wife, who died Oct. 13, 1947, and by two children who died in infancy.
