MRS. NELL SNYDER PASSES AWAY


Mrs. Nellie Snyder was born in Mayville, Wis., Nov. 15, 1856 and lived there with her widowed mother, her father having been killed in the Civil War. She was united in marriage on Aug. 23, 1879 to Milton Snyder, who preceded her in death 12 years ago.


Mr. and Mrs. Snyder were among the oldest residents of the Town of York, Clark County, and had operated the present Snyder farm until Mr. Snyder's death in 1927. Since that time Mrs. Snyder rented the farm but retained a room there.


Mrs. Snyder passed away on Friday Dec. 22, 1939 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. G. Hartson in Neillsville after a two day illness.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Jaster Funeral Home, with Rev. G. W. Longenecker of the Congregational Church officiated. Interment was made in the family lot in the Neillsville Cemetery.


She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank P. (Mamie) Krejci of Augusta and Mrs. Wellen (Velma) Hartson of Neillsville and one son, Guy Snyder of Campbellsport a granddaughter, Mrs. Nell Hartson Wuethrich of Greenwood and a sister, Mrs. John Dwyre of Neillsville. Two sons preceded her in death.


Those from Greenwood who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rossman, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Behrens, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Wuethrich, Miss Marion Hartson, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Neuenfeldt and Mrs. Jos. Merkel.
