JOHN TRUNKEL RITES HELD AT WILLARD

Funeral services for John Trunkel Sr., 86, Willard, Clark County, who died Thursday, March 31, 1938, at 2:50 p.m. of old age complications and kidney trouble, were conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Holy Family Church at Willard.

 

Interment was made in the Willard Cemetery, with Rev. John Trinko officiating. Mr. Trunkel died at the home of his son, John, with whom he had made his home for the past 17 years.


Born in Austria in 1852, he came to this country in 1893 and made his home in Joliet, Ill., for 28 years previous to his residence in Willard. He was the oldest resident in Willard. Mrs. Trunkel died when their children were infants. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Joliet.


Surviving are two sons, Anton and John Trunkel, both of Willard seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers were Louis Koschak, Frank Zupanc, Anton Debevec, Anton Krainz, Frank Lesar Sr., and John Zupanc.


Rudolph Trunkel, Ottawa, Ill., attended the funeral services.
