OBITUARY OF MRS. MARY SWEET

Mrs. Mary A. Sweet, widow of Rev. S.E. Sweet, deceased former pastor of the Baptist Church at Greenwood, Clark County, passed away Oct. 19, 1926 at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Geo. Poole.

Mary A. Foster was born Oct. 29, 1854 at Hull Canada. She married Alfred Dingley, deceased Oct. 16, 1870.

Two Children, Norman and Fern, both deceased, were adopted by Mr. And Mrs. Dingley.

Mrs. Dingley married Rev. S.E. Sweet June 19, 1910, at Greenwood.

Mrs. Sweet leaves one sister, Mrs. C. W. Lucas of Arkona, Ontario, Canada four step children and four grand children.

Mrs. Sweet was a resident of Greenwood for many years, was a charter member of the Baptist Church and had a part in the early struggles of the church in this community. She was a devoted mother and earnest consistent Christian woman.

For over four years Mrs. Sweet was a constant sufferer and death came as a blessed release to her. Though her many friends will mourn they know she is at rest.

Funeral services were held from the Dr. A. J. Currie home Friday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Berry of Eau Claire officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
