MRS. JOHN PUTZEL  (1890 - 1973)


GREENWOOD--Mrs. John F. Putzel, 83, of Greenwood, Clark County, died at 1 a.m. today (Thursday, June 7, 1973) at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she had been admitted Tuesday afternoon.


Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church here. The Rev. Leander A. Koopman, pastor, will officiate, and burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Visitations may be made at the funeral home beginning Friday afternoon. A parish rosary will be prayed there at 8 p.m. Friday.


The former Fanny Romona Boyce was born Jan. 27, 1890, in Austria, and came to the United States in 1904 and lived in Helena, Mont. She was married there Jan. 29, 1908 to John Putzel, who preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1971.


After their marriage they lived in Montana until coming to Greenwood in 1914. They had resided here since on a farm west of Greenwood.


Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Earl (Bertha) Holt, Route 1, Greenwood, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Russ, East Helena, Mont., Mrs. Joseph (Frieda) Hoeser, Loyal, and ..(the rest was cut off)
