Adele Dagmar Jackson, 87, Owen, died on Monday, February 22, 1999, 11:45 p.m., at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, where she had resided since May of 1998.


Funeral service was Saturday, February 27, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, with Reverend Paul Petersen officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Grandsons served as pallbearers including: Brent Kryzanski, Todd Kryzanski, Dan Stroinski, Rick Jackson, Rande Jackson and Clarence Jackson. Visitation was at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen on Friday, February 26, 1999, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


The former Adele Engebretson was born on March 21, 1911, the daughter of Christ and Alma (Pederson) Engebretson, in Stanley. She was a graduate of Withee High School. Adele and Clarence Jackson were united in marriage on January 14, 1932 in Tomah. Adele was a homemaker and after the death of her husband was employed as a sales clerk at the Withee IGA Store and then retiring from Master Package in Owen after many years of employment. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.


Adele will be sadly missed by her children: Les (Joanne) Jackson of Woodbury, MN and Dolores (Mike) Kryzanski of Thorp 8 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren one brother Floyd (Helen) Engebretson of Hartford and two sisters: Irma Himes of International Falls, MN and Merle Kaler of Long Beach, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence on July 6, 1945, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
