Greenwood--Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Lena Hoehne, 79, who died of complications at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Braatz at 8:15 p.m. Monday, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical and Reformed Church. The Rev. Charles A. Koch officiated and burial took place in the Greenwood cemetery.


Pallbearers were six grandsons, John and Jeff Hoehne Joe and Bill Enockson and Karl and Keith Dyre.


The church choir sang "Some Day You'll Understand" and "The Old Rugged Cross," with Mrs. Adolph Wessel accompanying at the organ.
Graveside rites were conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star.


Out-of-town people present at the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dryre and sons, Karl and Keith, Moorhead, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Braatz and daughter, and Mrs. Roberta Daves, Neillsville and Albert Dauffenbach, Fairchild.

MRS. HOEHNE, 79 DIES MONDAY.
RITES THURSDAY FOR GREENWOOD WOMAN


Mrs. Carl C. Hoehne, 79, Greenwood, died Monday at 8:15 p.m. at the home of her son-in-law and dauther, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Braatz, Greenwood, Clark county, Wisconsin, of complications due to old age.
The body will repose at the Stabnow Funeral Home, Greenwood, until Thursday noon when it will be taken to the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Charles Koch will officiate. Burial will take place in the Greenwood cemetery.


Mrs. Hoehne, formerly Emma Lena Runkel, was born Dec. 21, 1873, in Reeseville and was married to Carl C. Hoehne June 7, 1902, there. She received her education in Reeseville and Watertown, after which she taught school in and around Reeseville for 10 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoehne celebrated their golden wedding anniversary the past June. Since their marriage they have lived in Greenwood, where Mr. Hoehne operated the Hoehne Hardware Store for 51 years. Mrs. Hoehne was a member of the Reformed Ladies Aid Society and a past president and past matron of the Eastern Star.


Surviviing are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Melda) Dyre, Moorhead, Minn., and Mrs. Leonard (Ilma) Braatz, Greenwood two sons, George and Julius Hoehne, Greenwood and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Hoehne was the only child of the late Mr. and Mrs.

 George Runkel.
