THEODORE (TED) PIEKOLA SERVICES HELD


Theodore (Ted) Piekola, Route 1, Withee, Clark County, died at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 1976 at his home at the age of 68.


Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, with the Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, officiating. Burial was made in the Withee Riverside Cemetery.


Mr. Piekola was born Jan. 5, 1908, at Ely, Minn. He married the former Helen Hahto on Oct. 6, 1932, at Waukegan, Ill.


He attended the Beaver Center School near Loyal, of which he was a former school board member. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge at Neillsville.


He moved to the Town of Beaver at the age of 7 and later farmed there from 1938 until 1959. He then moved to Waukegan, Ill. and lived there until 1961, when they came to a farm in the Town of Longwood.


Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Jeannie Brecker, Phillips, and Mrs. William (Clara) Davel, Loyal. One nephew, Owen Brecker, Key West, Fla.


He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
