OSCAR BRANDT, ELECTRIC CO-OP WORKER FOR MANY YEARS, DIES


Oscar Brandt, 80, of Greenwood, Clark County, died May 27, 1984 at the Memorial Home, Neillsville.


Brandt was born March 18, 1904 in the Town of Beaver to Louis and Alvina (Rossow) Brandt. He received his education in the Town of Beaver and German Schools.


On March 16, 1927, he was married to Jone Berrett in Greenwood. They farmed in the Town of Beaver. He also worked for Clark Electric Co-op for 23 years, retiring in 1969.


He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.


Surviving are his wife a son, Nyle, Greenwood a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Romelle) Thomlinson, Waukesha six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Helen Wendtland, Colorado Springs, Col. He was predeceased by a daughter, Arlene, and a grandson.


Services were held May 30 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood with the Revs. James Cooper and Charles E. Saletri officiating.


Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Brandt, Randy Tomlison, Arthur and Harold Wehrman, Robert Worden and Richard Kezeler.


The Rinka Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
