Washburn Center (4 Feb 1915)

By the looks of Sunday January was going out like a lion. About the worst of the season so far, but I guess Monday will beat that.

Mrs. Paul Pernod was a little better Sunday. Her brother and brother-in-law of Indiana are here to see her, her brother expects to spend some time with her.

Mrs. Joy Ayers is a little under the weather at this writing.

Walter Bell’s father is here spending a few days with him.

John Ganfleet and wife were callers at Paul Pernod’s Friday afternoon.

Andrew Short and wife spent Saturday and Sunday ay Dave Taylor’s in town.

Mrs. J.A. Short entertained her mother and Mrs. Mary McPherson Saturday for dinner.

Jesse Wilding and wife spent Sunday at Ed Carter’s.

Paul Kuhn has been entertaining the tooth ache the past few days.

The Rawleigh’s man has been seen on our roads again also the fish and cranberry man they won’t let us get sick or go hungry.

Mr. Meyers has been helping Otto Schroeder saw wood for a few days.

M.C. Thomas and wife spent Sunday with friends at Prey.

Mr. Lowery of Granton was a Sunday caller at J.A. Short’s.
