Ackerman, Nora (21 FEB 1917)

Miss Nora Ackerman, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Ackerman, and Mr. Alvin Pischer were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at the home of the groom’s widowed mother in Neillsville, Wednesday, Feb, 21st, 1917.  The ceremony took place at high noon, Judge O.W. Schoengarth officiating.  The bride was becomingly dressed in a pretty gown of dark blue silk with white trimmings and carried a bouquet of roses.  They were attended by her sister, Miss Jennie Ackerman, and by his brother Reuben.  Immediately after the congratulations, which followed the ceremony, the wedding guests enjoyed a bounteous wedding dinner which had been prepared by the groom’s mother.  On account illness, only near relatives witnessed the marriage.  The bride’s mother having been taken ill while visiting a daughter in Chicago was unable to be present and it was this mother’s wish that as the wedding day had been previously set, not to have the date changed on any account.  The happy pair have the best wishes of a host of friends for a long and happy married life.
