Justmann, Annabelle Mae (11 OCT 1941)

 

Miss Annabelle Mae Justmann of Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Justmann of Spencer, and Curtis G. Kelk of Milwaukee, son of Carl Kelk of Tomah, were united in marriage at St. John’s Evangelical church in the town of Brighton Saturday, Oct. 11, at 3:30 p.m., the Rev. Hinz being the officiating minister.

 

The bride was gowned in an eighteenth century satin brocade dress with train inserted with lace, sweetheart neckline, long sleeves pointed, fitted bodice, her veil was fingertip trimmed with lace.  Her headdress was trimmed with pearls.  She also wore a string of pearls, a gift from the groom.  Louise Justmann, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and was gowned in foam green tissue paper taffeta with satin sandals to match, her gown being of the same style as the bride’s.  The bride carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums with a touch of gold and the maid of honor carried a bouquet of mixed gold and bronze chrysanthemums.  The other attendants of the bride [text missing from copy]

 

groom, was best man and other attendants were Fred Schroeder, cousin of the groom, and Herbert Wiles, also a cousin of Mr. Kelk.  Groom and attendants wore suits of conventional blue.  During the ceremony Mrs. Farrow, friend of the family sang "O Perfect Love" and "Because."

 

Dinner was served at 5:00 o’clock in the church parlors and a reception was held at home of the bride’s parents, about 60 guests attending the dinner and reception.  Mr. and Mrs. Kelk will spend their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin.

 

Mrs. Kelk is a graduate of Spencer high school in 1937 and from Wisconsin Business University at La Crosse in 1939.  She was employed for one year as bookkeeper at the Big Four Cooperative Oil Co. in Spencer and from there went to the Cooperative Insurance Mutual, Milwaukee, as typist.  She was a member of Alpha Iota sorority.  The groom graduated from New Lisbon high school in 1934 and is employed by the Badger Meter Co. in Milwaukee, where they will make their home at 809 North 27th street.

 

Those attending the wedding from out of town were Carl Kelk, Miss Norma Graf, Mr. and Mrs. J. Graff and family.  Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kelk, Mrs. I. O. Kelk, Mrs. Bruce Heileman and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Kelk of Tomah; Mr and Mrs. Fred Schroeder and son of Wilton; Mrs. Stanley Wiles and son, Mrs. Roy Dollman and daughter, Miss Shirley Herrick, Gerrold Frey, Miss Dolores Kelk of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Norville Justmann and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert of Edgar.
