Mrs. Wm. Schultz Funeral On Monday

Well Known Resident of Unity Dies Friday Afternoon, August 22 After Operation

 

Mrs. Wm. Schultz of Unity died Friday afternoon, Aug. 22 at a Wausau hospital after undergoing an operation there on August 13.  While Mrs. Schultz’s first interests were her home and her family, she was also an active worker in both civic and church organizations.

 

Esther Irene Goutcher was born July 5, 1900, in the town of Beaver, Clark county.  On Jan. 17, 1922, she was united in marriage to William L. Schultz.  They lived on a farm in the town of Beaver until 1935, since which time they have made their home in the village of Unity.

 

Surviving are the widower, Wm. L. Schultz; three children, Wm. Jr., Irene and June, all at home; one step-son, Orville Schultz, Unity; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Goutcher, town of Beaver; five brothers, Henry Goutcher, Ladysmith; Edward Goutcher, who lives in the west; Alvin Goutcher, town of Beaver; Maynard Goutcher, Minneapolis; Raymond Goutcher, town of Hull, and one sister, Mrs. Louis Scheel, town of Green Grove.

 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock at Trinity Lutheran church, Unity, with burial in the cemetery at Loyal.  Rev. J. A. Olson officiated.
