Fortek, Virginia (27 FEB 1960)

Miss Virginia Fortek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fortek, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Allan Christopherson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Christopherson, Withee, Wis., on Saturday, Feb. 27, 1960 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Chapel, Thorp.  Father Connie Chilicki officiated at the two o’clock ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length gown of import Alencon lace over Duchess satin.  Rosebud Medallions sprinkled with sequins enhanced the scalloped Sabrina neckline, the scalloped Sabrina neckline and long tapered wrist length sleeves detailed the long torso fitted bodice.  The very bouffant skirt was edged in hand clopped scallop.  A seed pearl and sequin trimmed lace crown held her fingertip veil of pure silk illusion.  Her bouquet consisted of aqua roses and white carnations.

Elaine Fortek, Chicago, was her sister’s maid of honor, and Elaine Losiewicz, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid.  Each wore street length dresses of aqua silk organza.  Scoop necklines graced the softly gathered sleeveless bodices and full gathered skirts with the new deep hemline completed their ensembles.  Bands of petals of organza held their blush veils and each carried colonial bouquets of white and aqua carnations.

A dinner, served by the Ladies Sociality, was held at St. Hedwig’s School Dining Room.

After a wedding trip to Minneapolis, Minn., the couple will make their home at Withee where the groom is a farmer.

Guests attending the wedding were from Chicago, Ill., Minneapolis, Minn., Thorp, Stanley, Withee and Owen.
