Malecki, Louis (7 AUG 1883 - 15 FEB 1960)

 

Funeral services for Mr. Louis Malecki, Sr., were held at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Chapel of Thorp on Thursday morning, Feb. 18th at ten o’clock with Rev. C. Chilicki officiating at the mass.  Mr. Malecki passed away at the Stanley Hospital Feb. 15, 1960, death being caused by a blood clot set by his heart.  He had reached the age of 76.

 

The deceased was born in Poland on Aug. 7, 1883.

 

On July 4, 1904, he was united in marriage to Mary Kedziora at McMillan, Wis.  They located on a farm in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) where they resided for many years.  Then he bought a farm on Highway 29, where he lived until his wife’s death.  After her death he went to live with his daughter, Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz until his death.

 

Mr. Malecki is survived by two sons, Stanley and Louis of Thorp; 4 daughters, (Lottie) Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz, (Lillian) Mrs. Al Ogurek of Thorp, (Ann) Mrs. Walter Wargolet of Milwaukee, (Irene) Mrs. Tony Ratajczyk of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Lottie Roytek of Stanley; 33 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  One son, Barney, a daughter, (Jean) Mrs. Ben Ceglarek and his wife, Mrs. Mary Malecki, preceded him in death.

 

Pallbearers were Ignatz Przybylski, Joseph Tobola, John Papierniak, Walter Zurakowski, Charles Deniszkiewicz, and Tom Polnaszek.

 

Friends and relatives from out of town who were here to attend the funeral of Mr. Louis Malecki Sr. on Feb. 18th were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Skalecki, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lukasiewicz, Mrs. Tony Ratajczyk, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wargolet and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wargolet of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. John Prosalowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Prosalowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Koszauk, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Prosalowicz., all of Antigo.
