Swiantek, Veronica (1886? - 26 JAN 1960)
Mrs. Veronica Swiantek, 73, former resident of the Stanley community, died on Jan. 26, 1960 of heart disease at her home in Chicago. She was born in Poland and came to Chicago when a young girl, She was married on May 10, 1910 to Frank Swiantek and lived in Chicago for a while. They bought a farm near Stanley in the fall of 1918 and lived there for 24 years, then moved back to Chicago where they made their home.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Frank, married and living on the old home place, and two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Helen) Parrish and Miss Lillian Swiantek, both of Chicago, also five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 9:30 a.m. from the chapel at 1734 W. 48th St. to St. John of God Church. Interment took place at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Ill.
